I felt that movie lacked a real payoff, and if a movie of that type should lack a payoff, it should at least hammer along with suspense (like, say "No Country For Old Men"). By the time the film ended, I felt that there was no payoff, no suspense, and little character development, especially with Viggo Mortensen. I'm not completely knocking it, the film wasn't bad. But for some reason when it ended, I just felt...jipped. Oh, and I think Children of Men was 2006. I disagree on Eastern Promises.
